It is indeed a challenge to find the right book when the term starts. Out-of-stock from the bookshop, unavailable at the library, or the second-hand has missing pages; not to mention the sensitive price issue! The book finding travails of students are never-ending. At the one end of spectrum are people, long passed out from college, with whom books have been lying unused for years and given off to raddi-wallah. Or there are helpful students willing to share their books with others. But how to connect people who will be living at different areas? How can we make it an easy process? How can it be cost-effective? How can books reach the needy?
These and other things were on our mind at the Dr. M.S. Acharya Memorial Trust office, where our group was seated. And then it struck us that an easy answer could be to start this initiative – An online website to connect the book donors and seekers free of cost. Keeping in mind the vision of the noble man, late Dr. M.S. Acharya, after whom the non-profit organization was formed, our non-profit venture wishes to make available college/high school books easily (have changed the word to easily, instead of free) and without any meddling from middle men.
